曾經(jīng)何時(shí)，SOHO(Small Office, Home Office)生活是一種向往。大家都知道，最近不少城市疫情反復(fù)，受此影響，很多企業(yè)再次開(kāi)啟了居家辦公模式。

原題：

These days it is often possible for workers from some industries to do their job from home. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages for society and the individual?

題型：report/non opinion essay

解題思路：可以清楚的看到考官用了四段式回答這類型的大作文，即除了開(kāi)頭與結(jié)尾，各用一個(gè)主體段來(lái)回應(yīng)題目中的兩個(gè)問(wèn)題。

通篇只有276個(gè)字，可見(jiàn)考官并不需要大家把文章寫得太長(zhǎng)，逐項(xiàng)滿足評(píng)分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)才是關(guān)鍵。

另外題目中的利與弊都用了復(fù)數(shù)的形式來(lái)提問(wèn)，所以在回答該題時(shí)一定要給出至少2個(gè)好處及壞處才可以。

It has become quite popular to work from home these days. While there are a couple of drawbacks to this innovation, the benefits outweigh them by far, for both the employee and the community. 

Individuals who work from home are keen to improve their work-life balance. Tasks can be completed at night, when the office is closed, allowing involvement in daytime activities such as attending a school concert, or volunteering to assist in the school canteen. In addition to the joy this brings their children, parents who are actively involved at school can offer enthusiasm and encouragement to the staff and other parents, benefitting the community immeasurably. Others who work from home may be looking after someone disabled or elderly, and find that the convenience of fitting work around carer duties allows for a smoother transition between daily tasks. 

Of course, there may be disadvantages to working from home. For example, some people may feel depressed and out-of-touch with colleagues, and perhaps believe that their career aspirations are on hold. These disadvantages, however, need not be so detrimental today, when advanced communication technology allows people to easily connect with others via screen conferencing. In addition to aiding socialization, scheduled webinars for this working community could promote their involvement in career-enhancing activities.

In conclusion, the advantages of working from home are significant and include a successful balance of employment with a convenient involvement in family activities, benefitting both individuals and the community. Negative factors, such as the possibility of social isolation and career stagnation, need not be an issue today as they can be negated by careful planning and the use of technology.

而遠(yuǎn)程辦公與居家辦公的概念稍有不同，比如有的員工不在公司總部，而是在外地分公司或辦事處工作，這時(shí)就可以用它的專有名詞，即'remote working'來(lái)表達(dá)。
